Kiss and Chase

"If you get caught, I’ll make sure your life becomes a living nightmare."

Lucas Blake, a royal alpha blessed with striking beauty, battled crippling OCD and an aversion to humanity. For someone like me—an ordinary beta—my unrequited feelings for him were nothing short of a personal tragedy.

One fateful day, I was overwhelmed by Lucas’s pheromones during his heat and, by a twist of fate, ended up in his arms.

“I… I’ve been waiting for you,” he murmured.

The next morning, he had no recollection of what had transpired.

“So, you’re saying you had… an encounter with an omega and don’t remember anything?” I asked hesitantly.
“From what I can piece together, I must have been drugged and lost control with some omega, Yuna,” he replied, his tone cold and detached.

Relief and despair warred within me—relief that my secret was safe, and despair that he didn’t remember me . But then, his gaze turned dark.

“I’ll find that omega and make them pay.”

Still unable to abandon my feelings for him, I made a choice that would change everything—a choice I could never undo. But how long can I endure this hopeless love, knowing it’s a path with no way out?
