Just Twilight

She was a whirlwind that brought a storm into his peaceful life. "Nothing good is going to come out of you," he threatened.

"Why? Those rumors about you? I don't care," she replied.

Protect or destroy her? The question repeated itself as it did when he had first done it thirteen years ago. She made me hold onto my firsts-the one I could never forget.

"A man who steals a kiss and runs?" she asked, her eyes boring into mine.

"You broke first," I said to him.

"Oh? You didn't like it?" Her defiance and tempting voice enticed me to lose my head. I held off from nipping back and succumbing to the turmoil she created in me.

"You are maddening, you know?"

No, not just ignore her. Yun Junyoung was not one of those girls you could ignore.

The Affair and Aftermath Their attraction was magnetic; resolute and doomed. It was not only the stolen glances or the unsaid words, but how she disassembled his carefully constructed walls.

It started with infrequent incidents, and before long, it evolved into a clandestine love affair with a predetermined outcome. Each caress and kiss sent them closer to the edge.

And thus, the aftermath was bitter. Reality slammed down on them and threw open their fragile world to the consequence of impulsive decisions. He battled between his ideal self and who he was being. She stood defiant, steadfast, and didn't break as the world crumbled around them.

A question lingers through the layers of regret and longing, whether it was all worthwhile.

A New Beginning And then the storm, silence. Silent to the point of deafness. He stands on unfamiliar ground, deprived of what he once knew. He had it start to masquerade as end, since lost pieces he was seeing in the dusting were pieces of himself he had never needed.

She emerged reformed-not broken, but renewed. They could no longer squeeze into their old selves, and perhaps this was the best. The story is for transformation and the meeting of strength in who they have become.

The way ahead was undetermined, to be journeyed together or alone.

Conclusion And life went on, even when the heart wished that one could stop for a little while. Their choices remained, not as regrets, but as lessons to form them. He no longer saw her as a typhoon and she no longer saw him as an escape route. Instead, they became catalysts to each other toward long-ignored truths. Maybe they weren't meant to last forever. Maybe their existence was only to create the changes in each other that neither could, of their own strength, make occur. Maybe that was enough.
