It’s A Misunderstanding That I’m Dating The Villain

In my 24th year of reincarnation, I was living a peaceful life as an insignificant knight commander barely mentioned in the original story. Content with my uneventful existence, I avoided meddling in the main plot. But during an undercover investigation, I accidentally stumbled upon the villain in the act. “Sir Clara, have you been waiting for this opportunity? Clever, very clever.” “No, no! I swear to the gods, I have no intention of exposing your identity!” “Hah, and what reason do I have to trust you?” That’s how the shadowy mastermind decided to keep me under his watchful eye. “Here, take this. I bought it just for you.” “Why would I accept this…?” “The flower matches the color of your hair. And now that I see it, it suits you perfectly.” Wait… why does everyone think the villain is pursuing me out of affection? This was not part of the plan!
