Inside the Elevator

The second son of the fashion giant Uno FNC, Kang Tae-heon, had a reputation as a flawless man—and one universally despised within the company. Arrogant, untouchable, and confident to a fault, everyone kept their distance. That was until he touched my butt .

I, Kang I-chae, had always thought I could keep my head low and avoid trouble. But after what happened inside the elevator , everything changed.

"You don’t have to pretend to be all polite and proper in front of me," I blurted out. "I know what kind of person you are!"

He raised a brow, smirking as if amused. "Oh? And what kind of person do you think I am?"

How was I supposed to respond? After discovering he was the type to touch someone’s butt without permission, I couldn’t hold back my frustration. I shouted at him, expecting him to deny it. Instead, his reaction left me utterly stunned. He confessed—straight to my face—that he liked me .

No way. This couldn’t be real. Kang Tae-heon, a shameless flirt with an icy demeanor, couldn’t possibly be sincere. Yet, despite my instincts telling me to steer clear, his actions began to feel… genuine.

Things reached a breaking point during a business trip to China. Alone with Tae-heon, I couldn’t suppress my confusion any longer. I confronted him about everything that had been gnawing at me since that fateful moment inside the elevator .

"If you’re really trying to prove to me that you’re a decent guy… then explain something to me."

His usual cool expression shifted slightly. "Go ahead."

I swallowed hard. "Why did you touch my butt?"

Tae-heon’s confusion mirrored mine. "What are you talking about?"

"What do you mean, ‘what are you talking about’? That day, inside the elevator —you know exactly what I mean!"

The silence stretched between us before he dropped the real bombshell. "That wasn’t me."

Wait—what? If it wasn’t Kang Tae-heon… then who on earth was it? Who had touched me inside the elevator that day? And why did Tae-heon’s words now sound more believable than ever?
