Today, I got rejected by Kim Yeo-hee again. An uncountable number of confessions, an uncountable number of rejections. Is this what love is? It was too terrible.
“Did you become a pushover while I wasn’t watching?” “…Whatever. Just go home and adjust to the time difference.”
I was already tormented to death, and suddenly Baek Hyun-oh, who returned from the U.S., started saying nonsensical things that grated on my nerves.
“Hey, what will you do if I win her over?” “You think you can surpass me? No chance.” “I can surpass you. Unlike some pushover.”
It was a ridiculous bet.
But for some reason, my heart wavered precariously at Baek Hyun-oh’s teasing. This shouldn’t be happening; I wanted to know Kim Yeo-hee’s true feelings.
“Just give me three months. I’ll bring back Kim Yeo-hee’s heart.”
It was the beginning of a dangerous bet.
